Director, Board of Governance
Aekka Chandrashekhar brings a combination of institutional leadership, industry experience, and long-standing engagement in social development to the Board of Governance of Urvara Agricultural Research Foundation. He has served as Chairman of Octad Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and as Director at Curosys India Pvt. Ltd., contributing to organizational leadership, governance, and strategic direction within the private sector.

Expertise & Contributions

His work has been closely associated with initiatives in healthcare, education, and rural livelihoods, with a sustained focus on institution-building and community-oriented development. Drawing on decades of experience in organizational and social systems, he has played a significant role in strengthening grassroots structures and service-oriented institutions.

At Urvara Agricultural Research Foundation, he is leading the organizational and institutional development of the Foundation, including the establishment of governance processes, internal structures, and long-term operational frameworks. His contribution is central to ensuring that Urvara evolves as a credible, disciplined, and mission-aligned research institution capable of engaging effectively with public institutions, cooperative systems, and long-term partners.

Dr. Amarendra Singh

Dr. Amarendra Singh

Director, Board of Governance
Dr. Amarendra Singh is a public administration professional with formal training in Law, bringing a strong grounding in governance, regulatory frameworks, and institutional processes to the Board of Governance of Urvara Agricultural Research Foundation. He has served as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Chief Minister of Haryana and as Chairman of the Haryana Labour Welfare Board.

Expertise & Contributions

His experience spans long-standing organizational responsibilities, including early leadership roles in organizational management, stewardship of transparency and information initiatives, and coordination of constituency-level planning and election management. Through this work, he has developed deep familiarity with local governance institutions, cooperative systems, and Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS).

At Urvara Agricultural Research Foundation, Dr. Singh provides strategic oversight of research initiatives with a strong grassroots and institutional perspective, helping align research models with on-ground administrative realities and cooperative dynamics, and ensuring that proposed frameworks are legally sound, implementable, and scalable.

Ketan Patel is a seasoned industry leader and entrepreneur with extensive experience in strategic leadership, organizational growth, and institutional building. He is the Founder, Chairman, and Managing Director of Creative Newtech Limited, a company that has evolved from a local distributor into a diversified enterprise with a strong presence in brand licensing, market entry strategy, and business transformation.

Mr. Patel’s career is marked by a deep understanding of enterprise development, strategic foresight, and the ability to anticipate and adapt to complex market dynamics. His leadership has driven organizational evolution, sustained growth, and operational excellence in competitive environments. He has also held directorships across several private ventures, demonstrating a broad understanding of governance and corporate systems.

At Urvara Agricultural Research Foundation, Mr. Patel contributes to the design and refinement of institutional strategy, organizational frameworks, and systems-level research models that align private capital, cooperative finance, and industrial development. His insight into strategic growth, governance structures, and enterprise strategy supports Urvara’s work on building replicable economic models for rural transformation.

Dr. Virendra Singh Chauhan

Dr. Virendra Singh Chauhan

Director, Board of Governance
Dr. Virendra Singh Chauhan is a senior academic, rural development professional, and communication specialist with extensive experience in institutional leadership, public policy engagement, and community-based development. He currently serves as Director, Haryana Institute of Rural Development, Nilokheri, where he is involved in guiding research, training, and capacity-building initiatives related to rural governance and development.

Expertise & Contributions

He has contributed to national-level policy and communication initiatives as a Member of the Hindi Advisory Committees of the Ministry of Railways and the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India. Dr. Chauhan is the Founder of Radio Gramodaya 90.4 FM and has played a pioneering role in the community radio movement in India, including serving as Founding Convener and Former National Secretary General of the Community Radio Association of India.

His professional background spans journalism, media leadership, and academic administration. He has previously headed the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa, and has held senior editorial and leadership roles across leading media organizations. His work reflects deep engagement with grassroots communication, institutional outreach, and public discourse.

At Urvara Agricultural Research Foundation, Dr. Chauhan provides strategic guidance on rural institutional development, community engagement frameworks, and policy-oriented research communication. His expertise supports the Foundation’s objective of grounding economic research models in social realities, institutional capacity, and effective communication with local bodies and communities.

He has led and contributed to multiple large, multi-stakeholder initiatives at the intersection of technology, policy, and economic systems, with a strong focus on building scalable, secure, and future-ready architectures.
